I have read Plato's Republic and it is a masterpiece of conservative thought. There is little doubt that one of the philosophical fathers of Western civilization would not have found one of the sharpest conservative political minds of our time, Karl Rove, to be a kindred spirit. Just to throw in one more outrageous comment, I would rather see Karl Rove as President of the United States than Barack Obama or any other graduate of the Harvard Law School since 1960.

As the good Dr. Goebbels used to say, "If you repeat a lie often enough and loud enough it becomes the truth." That is why a majority of our benighted citizenry believe that by imposing higher taxes on the rich, they can have all the benefits they want and not have to pay for them. That is why Obama can hoodwink a majority of the people into believing that he never heard nor sympathised with the disgusting anti-American viewpoints of the Reverend Wright during the 20 years he attended his church in Chicago. That is why Democrats can call the suppression of the secret ballot in voting for union membership the Freedom of Choice Act (card check) rather than the Union Thugs Can Legally Beat You Up Bill. I can go on and on, but the central message is that when it comes to the big lie, the Democratic Party has us completely outclassed. You are the masters of the art.
